Our container and barge transportation services are available within harbors, on the Columbia Snake River System, and across the ocean. Short sea shipping of containers or rail cars on barges is also available.

A pioneer in tug design and development, Foss continues to introduce advanced tractor tugs to key ports for ship assist customers. As the size of container ships increase in ports with restricted waterways, Foss has responded with the Dolphin-Class tugs, which offer high horsepower in a small platform–over 5,000 horsepower in a 78-foot length vessel. In partnership with port authorities and customers, Foss also is developing new environmentally friendly technologies to reduce air emissions.
